Musical Education A (focus on music):

These music theory lessons are based on new findings in brain research. The course focuses on methods for fast understanding of complex structures in music.

Entrance Exam:

    * Applicant must play four pieces from four different areas (Baroque, Classic, Romantic, Modern, Jazz or improvisation)
    * Interview

Final Exam:
    * One solo concert evening (70 minutes of playing time) with works from four different eras/styles (as above) and 2 etudes
    * One concert evening of chamber music (instrumental and vocal)
    * Organising a student concert
    * one concerto (piano concerto, violin concerto etc)

Musical Education B (focus on teaching):

These music theory lessons enable enrollers to achieve the highest possible performances with ease, fun and minimal effort.

Entrance Exam:

    * High School diploma qualifying for College level studies
    * Applicant must play a piece on an instrument of his/her choice
    * Interview

Final Exam:

    * One solo concert evening (70 minutes of playing time) with works from four different eras/styles (as above) and 2 etudes
    * One concert evening of chamber music (instrumental and vocal)
    * Organising a student concert
    * 30 minute improvisation or
    * give a 60 minute speech about an area of research of brain functions which is relevant for musical education.
